When the girl’s tennis season ended last year, Sophomore Hannah Metcalf didn’t put down her racket. Instead, she used hard work and practiced her way up the ladder to compete at number three this season.

“This year, I feel like I’ve grown so much as a tennis player. I played at number three, so I played many competitive and serious matches. This really opened my eyes and made me really step up my game, and now I feel like I can push myself further than I thought I could to start out with,” said Metcalf.

“Tennis has improved my patience, confidence, and ability to focus, so I’m incredibly grateful for this sport that I love,” Metcalf said.

Head Tennis Coach, Mark McBain, discussed Metcalf’s performance this season in a postseason reflection. “Hannah Metcalf made big gains from her freshman and sophomore year and competed well at the number three position.”
